Resistance Through Printmaking: Silkscreen (NPS)

One day workshop
Friday, November 7th
5:00 – 8:30 pm

Ages 16 and Up

Printmaking has a long history of resistance art, its ability to be quickly created and dispersed has lent itself to be an art form for the masses. In this free workshop we invite artists and activists to our community print studio to learn about creating DIY screenprints on paper and t-shirts. Artist, Dilara Miller will guide students on creating screenprints using a technique called drawing fluid and screenfiller. This technique does not require an exposure unit or emulsion which allows artists to take this technique home! Activist and artist, Elisa Tucci, will guide you through resistance art practices and techniques on creating successful community oriented protest work to take to the streets!
